small update

Hey, long time no write eh?

Well I have been very very busy lately...and also very very lazy.
I'll be updating a lot more, and I'm also in the process of making a portflio site, but until then, I'm putting up some sketches I've done recently.

These sketches are from an oversized sketch book I bought from Kinnokuniya. I'm using a combination of a sumi brush pen and watercolor for most of the drawings in there, it has a nice effect.


The first image there is from some live model even I went to in Williamsburg. I think it's called Dr.Sketchy's Anti-art school. It was interesting...the model was from the local roller derby team, which is why she wore the skates. I won a drawing contest for best incorporation of lobster boy and the prize was entrance and vip for some roller derby party. It was on a sunday night though, so I didn't go. Oh well...I don't think it woulda been my thing anyway.

The last two are from a party I went to a few weeks ago. It was for a mixi group and it was surprisingly good. I met some pretty cool people there *wink wink* which I will talk about later as things progress *hint*
Anyway, it was dark so the drawings aren't so great, but still not so bad considering.

Faces II

So, I've been working on an Illustration project. My assignment is to to do 30 faces, 5 styles X 6 emotions. I've been excited about it, but it's sort of a bitch because I don't have as much time as I would like to devote to each face, so some I've rushed, just because I need to get this done.

Btw, thank you to all who gave me pictures for this, I still need a few more though...so if you read this and would like to be a part of this I need the following...

2 portraits with the feeling of disgust
2 " " sad

First is Digital, I only have 3 so far, because they are a bitch to do, it;s so tedious...and as you can tell because they take so long I sorta slacked on the last two...








Next is Abstract














Now for Caricature...which I didn't really like, I didn't put as much effort as I would've liked to...







Then on to my favorite artist's style...I chose David Choe, but it doesn't really look like his style...any way, i have 3 more left to do for this.








Finally, realism...I'm sorry that some of these turned out a little crappy, Ted's especially, which I may redo...

Pillow Fight?

So, this has been my worst week this year. My plans for Valentine's didn't really go as expected, I've been probably the poorest I have been in a very long time, and to top things off I got sick this weekend.

I'm hoping that next week will be better...it has to be.

Anyway, while at work today I was surfing the net and I found out that there was a massive pillow fight happening in Union Square, which isn't far from where I was. So I took a break and sanpped a few pictures of the event.

I wasn't there for long but feathers were all over the place, it was ridiculous. Everyone looked to be enjoying themselves, and just seeing something like that brightens my day a little bit.
